FAQ
We take most major insurances with a few exceptions. Please verify with your insurance company if you are in-network and what your outpatient mental health benefits are before scheduling an appointment.
What insurance does River Roots Mental Health Center take?
River Roots Mental Health and Wellness requires a 24-hour notice of cancelling an appointment. If your therapist or the front office staff do not hear from you or you provide late/no notice, then you may be subject to a cancellation/no show fee at your therapist’s discretion.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you are a new client and do not show for your initial appointment, you will be able to reschedule one additional time within a 60-day period, unless this limiting is expressly not allowed by the payor source agreement. After the second/third no show for the first appointment, you will not be allowed to schedule/reschedule for 90 days (subject to payor source agreement). After 3 failed attempts to show for the intake, you will not be able to reschedule, and you will be provided a list of referral options.
New Client Cancellation Policy
Most of the time you will form a connection with your therapist. There are times, however, when you feel it may not be a good fit. Although it may be hard, it is best to have a discussion with your therapist and let them know you would like to change therapists. A therapist will never get angry or offended when their client decides this, though they do find it helpful to talk about the reasons you want to change to figure out what best suits your needs.
What if I want to switch Therapists?
